Isadora- The Haunted no. 2: Red and Black Week Day 5

“Houses are not haunted. We are haunted, and regardless of the architecture with which we surround ourselves, our ghosts stay with us until we ourselves are ghosts.”

DEAN KOONTZ, Velocity

It is the second last day of Red and Black week, Victorian Kitty, shows off her amazing necklace and lovely contrasting outfit!

Those of you who are familiar with my art, will remember the collage of Isadora that I did a while back which was a tester for a future painting (see the first thumbnail below.)

Here is my drawing  of Isadora the Haunted:

Isadora- The Haunted no 2. Pen, Pencil, Charcoal, Glass stain, Glass liner, lipstick, food colouring and Coffee stain on A3 Paper

In the collage Isadora’s environment begins to encroach upon her, peeling onto her, in the drawing  above, she is beginning to bleed into the environment as much as the environment is suffocating her. The curling lines that make up her hair start amalgamating with the arabesques and curlicues of the environment which snake onto her.
